The People Moving & Handling Course is designed for healthcare professionals, carers, and anyone responsible for assisting individuals with mobility difficulties. This course ensures compliance with Health & Safety Authority (HSA) and Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA) guidelines, focusing on safe patient handling techniques, injury prevention, and correct use of lifting equipment.
Participants will learn proper manual handling techniques, hoist operation, risk assessments, and ergonomic best practices to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries while assisting people in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care settings.
