The Infection Control Instructor Course is an instructor-level programme designed for individuals who are required to deliver Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training within workplace, healthcare, childcare, education and community settings.
Infection control is a critical component of workplace safety and public health. This course ensures that those delivering IPC training are not only knowledgeable in infection prevention principles, but are also competent and confident instructors who can communicate best practice clearly and effectively.
The programme focuses on both infection control knowledge and instructional delivery skills, enabling participants to plan, deliver and support infection control training that reflects current best practice and organisational requirements. Course content is informed by national guidance, including the Department of Health and HSE Infection Prevention and Control National Clinical Guideline No. 30
