Our Risk Assessment Training course gives participants the knowledge and skills to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and apply control measures in line with Irish legislation. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, every employer must carry out risk assessments and prepare a safety statement. This course is designed to make that process clear, practical, and manageable.
Delivered by Philip & Son Training Consultants, the course combines expert instruction with real workplace examples. Participants learn how to apply the five-step risk assessment process and practice completing risk assessments that can be used in their own organisation.
Risk assessments are not just a legal requirement. They are essential for preventing workplace accidents, protecting employees, and maintaining productivity. A well-structured risk assessment also shows compliance during inspections by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). For further guidance, see the HSAโs official information on risk assessments.
We also provide related training, including Fire Warden Training and People Moving and Handling, which complement risk assessment skills by addressing key workplace hazards.
This course is suitable for both small businesses and larger organisations. It is available as an open public course or delivered in-company at your premises.
Duration: 1 Day (6 hours, including breaks)
