First Aid Response

The First Aid Response (FAR) course is designed to provide participants with the essential life-saving skills needed to manage emergencies effectively. This PHECC-recognised course equips learners with the knowledge and confidence to respond to workplace and public emergencies, including CPR, AED use, and patient assessment.

This training is ideal for individuals and businesses looking to comply with Irish workplace safety regulations under the Health & Safety Authority (HSA) guidelines.

This First Aid Response course is suitable for:

By the end of this course, participants will:
✅ Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aid responder
✅ Perform CPR and AED usage for adults, children, and infants
✅ Recognise and manage medical emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks, and seizures
✅ Treat common injuries and bleeding effectively
✅ Respond to choking incidents and unconscious casualties
✅ Carry out patient assessment and administer emergency care

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) Certificate, which is valid for 2 years. A recertification course is required to maintain certification.
