Our half-day Seizure Management (buccal medication) Training course deals with the understanding of how seizures commence and how they can be managed safely for both the patient and the healthcare worker.

More and more healthcare workers encounter patients or clients that might have seizures on a regular basis.

Anyone who wants to be trained and certified in the Seizure Management (buccal medication) or people who will be dealing with epilepsy patients, especially healthcare workers.

Ensuring that healthcare workers understand and recognize seizure occurrence. As well, preparing healthcare workers to act appropriately during the occurrence of seizures in patients.

Methods of training

The course is highly interactive with each theory session being followed by a demonstration, practical tasks and assessment of individual skills.

Assessment & Certification

Continuous assessment throughout the course. Students receive a PSTC Certificate on completion. The certificate is valid for 2 years.
